SEQ plantations closed

All South-East Queensland plantations have closed due to the threat from Tropical Cyclone Alfred until further notice. This includes plantations in Beerburrum, Mary Valley, Blackbutt, Toolara, Tuan, Wongi and Elliot River.

According to the latest updates from the Bureau of Meteorology, Tropical Cyclone Alfred is expected to impact the Queensland coast, with a potential landfall between Bundaberg and the New South Wales border this Thursday. The Bureau warns that from Wednesday onwards, TC Alfred may bring heavy rainfall, damaging winds, falling trees, powerlines, and flash flooding, posing significant risks to public safety.

As such, the closure applies to all walkers, cyclists, horse riders, motorbike riders, and motorists. We kindly ask that everyone adhere to these closures for their own safety and the safety of our employees and emergency service providers.

If you would like any updates on TC Alfred, please visit Australia’s official weather forecast site, the Bureau of Meteorology at www.bom.gov.au.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this critical period. Your safety is our top priority.
