Our Coastal Region is also growing and we are seeking a suitably qualified Forester with knowledge in civil construction who is highly motivated individual that can think, act, and work autonomously. This exciting and fast paced role is critical in leading the delivery of quality roading programs within the Coastal Region.

Reporting to the Roading Manager you will be located in our Toolara office, close to Tin Can Bay Coast and less than 30 minutes from Gympie.

If you have a proactive work ethic and are driven to achieve high quality results, the skills and qualifications that will assist in thriving in this role are:

  • Bachelor of Science (Forestry) or Civil Engineering degree or related field with experience in at least 2 of the following work areas – roading, harvesting/haulage, fire management or general plantation management: or

  • Diploma of Forestry or Cert IV in Civil Construction Supervision with 5 years’ experience.

  • Sound knowledge and skills to effectively manage contractors in terms of safety, environmental and quality management practices and standards.

  • Sound business acumen skills in budgeting and financial analysis, project management, planning, scheduling and monitoring of work performance and outcomes, problem solving, and statistical analysis and interpretation.

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously within a fast paced project environment.

  • Proven communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Unrestricted “C class drivers Licence.  An unrestricted ‘MR’ class licence would be highly regarded.
