Manual Silvicultural and Fire Protection Services

HQP is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to source suitably qualified suppliers to supply cultivation, site preparation and fire protection services in HQP’s Coastal Region for an initial term of 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years.

The types of services we seek include but are not limited to: 

Manual Silvicultural Services – planting Southern Pine, fertilising, manual herbicide application, manual weed control (brushcutting), declared weed control; and other general labouring, specialist forestry and mechanical tasks as they arise.

Fire Protection Services – providing contract Workers, vehicles, heavy equipment, prescribed burning activities, fire surveillance (e.g. forest patrols, fire tower and fire camera observation), standby for dispatch to wildfires, suppression of wildfires and administrative support during wildfires. More information is included in the draft contract, specifications and related contract documents which are available upon request.

It is anticipated that contracts with suitably qualified suppliers will commence on 1 July 2025 once negotiations have successfully concluded.
